Add New Server

The Servers section lets you add and manage all of your JetBackup servers directly from the Management Console. Install, update or register JetBackup as well as review server backup job charts and logs.

Important information!

JetBackup MC is compatible with the following JetBackup Versions:

  • JetBackup 4 cPanel (v4.0.13+)
  • JetBackup Linux (v1.0.2+)
  • JetBackup 5 (v5.2.0+ Currently EDGE)
NOTE: At this time, JetBackup MC requires Root Access privilege enabled on your server(s) to successfully authenticate and establish connection.

To add a new server, navigate to "Servers" and click on "Add New Server".

When added, JetBackup MC will automatically attempt to Register with JetBackup. If the registration process does not complete, the server will still be added and can be attempted manually by checking the checkbox beside the corresponding server(s) and click on Register with JetBackup to establish communication between JetBackup MC and your server(s).

Server Name

This will be used internally for your convenience.

Tags

Used to Identify/Group your servers to apply rules and optimizers.

Server IP/Hostname

IP or Hostname that the JetBackup MC server will be communicate with this server.

Server SSH Port

Port used by your server to communicate through SSH.

Authentication Type

  • SSH Key
  • SSH Password
  • WHM API Token
