Pricing Tiers

Building a pricing service

Tiered Pricing

Tiered Pricing Defines the price you will pay PER UNIT (MB, GB, TB) within EACH range of a specific tier.
In the Example: If you set up the following tiers:
1-10 GB = $5/GB | 11-25 GB = $4/GB | 26-50 GB = $3/GB | 51+ GB = $2/GB
If your client used 60GB they would be charged:
(10GB X $5) + (15GB X $4) + (25GB X $3) + (10GB x $2) = $205 total

Volume Pricing

Volume Pricing Defines the price you will pay for PER UNIT for ALL UNITS (MB, GB, TB) within the range of the top-level tier.
In the Example: If you set up the following tiers:
1-10 GB = $5/GB | 11-25 GB = $4/GB | 26-50 GB = $3/GB | 51+ GB = $2/GB
If your client used 60GB they would be charged: 60GB x $2 = $120 total

Ranged Pricing

Range Pricing Defines the TOTAL price you will pay within a tier OR price per unit if greater than the last tier.
In the Example: If you set up the following tiers: 1-10 GB = $15 | 11-25 GB = $25 | 26-50GB = $50 | 51+ GB = $1/GB
If your client used 30GB they would be charged: $25 as they are within the 26-50GB range.
If your client used 60GB they would be charged: (60GB X $1GB) = $60
