Installation Guide

System Requirements

These are the minimum system requirements for installing JetBackup for WordPress:

* Required for the Paid versions

Installing the Free Version

To begin installation of the Free Version of JetBackup for WordPress:

  1. First, log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Next, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
  3. Search for JetBackup for WordPress in the WordPress Plugin Repository, then click Install Now.
  4. Once the plugin has been installed, click Activate Plugin.

Installing the Paid Version

To begin installation of the Paid Version of JetBackup for WordPress:

  1. If you have the Free Version installed, please make sure to uninstall it by logging into your WordPress Admin Dashboard, then navigating to Plugins > Installed Plugins. Look for JetBackup for WordPress and click Deactivate, then Delete.
  2. Next, log in to the JetApps Client Area, navigate to Services > My Services (JetApps Services Page), click on your corresponding JetBackup for WordPress license, then click download.
  1. Go back to your WordPress Admin Dashboard, then go to Plugins > Add New, and click Upload Plugin. You will then have the option to upload the plugin you downloaded in Step 2 by clicking the Choose File button.
  2. Once you have the JetBackup for WordPress plugin selected, click Install Now, then click Activate Plugin once the installation is complete!

Post-Installation Getting Started Guide

Your JetBackup for WordPress installation is now complete! The next step is to review the Getting Started guide for more information on configuring the plugin for the first time.

Updates

It is recommended to activate the auto-update feature in WordPress for your JetBackup for WordPress plugin to get the latest updates. To enable automatic updates, please do the following:

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
  3. On the Installed Plugins page, look for JetBackup for WordPress and click Enable auto-updates.

WordPress should now fetch the latest available updates for JetBackup for WordPress. Please note, WordPress executes plugin auto-updates every 12 hours.

Licensing

To find your JetBackup for WordPress License:

  1. Log in to your JetApps Client Area.
  2. Go to Services > My Services, then click the service name for your active JetBackup WP License.
  3. Your License Key will be available in the License Key field - be sure to have this available as you proceed with the installation steps.

Uninstall

To uninstall JetBackup from your WordPress site:

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
  3. On the Installed Plugins page, look for JetBackup for WordPress and click Deactivate, then Delete.

JetBackup should now be completely removed from your WordPress site!
